Well, maybe... or, maybe not. But if that is what you think, then I want you to put yourself for the next 10 minutes in the shoes of a young child who grew up in foster homes, a child who during those young years often felt like a dog left in a shelter. Imagine that child growing up without the comfort of a loving parent, no family. Then, tell me how it feels, when there are no parents around who speak confidence, faith and love into that child.
Because this is the reality how some children grow up: parents with health issues, parents with alcohol issues, physical and psychological abuse, rejection, trauma, abandonment. Too often, these young people have nobody helping them to feel confident, worthy, good and lovable. Some may be lucky to have a good social worker who may motivate them to go to school. But that does not replace the loving hugs and comfort normal children receive from a real family.
When a young person is living with low self-esteem, because nobody ever told them that they do deserve a good life too, being successful in the world out there is very difficult. Sometimes the only words they heard from their family were even the opposite, and therefore they struggle feeling good enough.
It is easy to feel secure, worthy, lovable and confident for a child who grows up within a loving family, with people who comfort and support that young person every day. But the opposite is the case for all those children who have to grow up without that loving support from a family. And for them, certain books can be an even greater help than one could imagine.
For people who are lucky to always have a family who supports and loves them, those books who talk about the laws of attraction seem “not so spiritual”. But for many others, the books about the law of attraction can help them to feel inspired, to hope, to develop some confidence, to learn how to feel better about themselves, and therefore: change their life for the better. And to all these people I say: if the different techniques from those books help you for certain things, then that is fine, as long as it helps you.
The best books for this were written by Esther and Jerry Hicks, and by Neville Goddard.
And another helpful tool is to listen and read the wonderful healing messages from teachers like Joseph Prince.
Feel free to write me if you have any questions about this, we can always talk via zoom or skype.
divine blessings to you,
