Empathy, patience and compassion

25/9/2019

Even this website speaks about some spiritual topics, it is also my mission to share an important message about PTSD. Because I know by my own experiences, what a lack of information does in those situations. That's why I share here some basics that can be helpful.

I share this with the goal to avoid prejudice and bullying for all those who are in the same situation. Because living with a PTSD is already rough enough on its own... What helps the most are empathy, patience, kindness and compassion.

It is wonderful, helpful and good to be spiritual. But this website is about something more. Yes, I do believe in the power of prayers, absolutely. But for certain things, such as PTSD for example, it is necessary and wise to accept the help from a doctor.

You need to understand that there are different levels and different types of PTSD, depending on what kind of traumas a person has experienced. Plus, it makes a difference at what ages, how often, etc. Therefore, you can never compare one person with PTSD to another, each one is different and unique.

All spiritual healing techniques are wonderful and precious, but in addition, it is wise to accept the support from a trauma-therapist in these situations.

Many people who have experienced a traumatic event do not ask for help. They can't break the silence, can't talk. Because they feel too much shame. Because it is too painful and too difficult to talk about it. With this message here, I would like to motivate and encourage you to get help, to talk about it with a doctor, and ask for support.

Yes, there are tough times we all experience in life. Living with PTSD is rough. It is easier now than in the past, because now (year 2019) there are a lot more informations, therapies and healing techniques for it. There are now books about it. There are a lot more good doctors who are trauma-therapists too. Therefore, if you do have some kind of PTSD, you can always get medical help.

Sure, I know, it is not easy to do a trauma-therapy. Yes, it takes truly courage, energy and willpower. You really have to do this with determination, for your life, for your own healing. Nobody else can do this for you. But you will receive helpful support through it.

You deserve to receive help, you really do. But as long as you don't talk about it, if you don't ask for help, others can't help you. I know it is a very big step, but it is worth it. It will get easier, once you've done that first step.

You can heal and recover a big part of the PTSD. You can gain a better life quality truly. But you have to do the first steps, talk, and accept help from a certified therapist. Yes, I know, it's a special step to ask for help. Serious: if you wish to heal and recover, you have to talk with a doctor at least, if you can't talk with friends or family members.

Always be aware of this: you do this for yourself. You deserve a better life. And you can have it.

One more point: not getting the right treatments with a certified trauma-therapist (which helps your body to recover from the traumas) could bring other health issues. This is why I wish to encourage you to accept help somehow. Or if you read this and you have a family member or a friend in such a situation, please support them in these steps and help them to meet with a trauma-therapist.

Yes, living with a PTSD makes you also highly sensitive somehow. But over the years, I have discovered that this sensitivity can also be a strength. And that in certain situations, I can even help others with my sensitivity.

Feel free to write me, if you have a question about this.

Namaste,
Jeanne
